John Dias III - Financial Applications Practice Manager
John brings 13 years of accounting and financial software experience which blend both financial and accounting application expertise. A degreed professional, he has obtained both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Accounting. During the early to mid 90's John helped build the accounting and reporting functions for CORE Business Technologies, installing a new accounting package along the way. He was directly responsible for working with IT to develop various databases for Sales Order processing and Job Cost Analysis.
From the late 90's until recently, John had been with Corporate Software, Inc out of Norwood MA. The company was a $2 Billion software license reseller with a multi-national presence including offices throughout Europe and Asia. Here John continued to gain expertise in developing accounting systems and controls. As the Director of World-Wide Financial Reporting and Accounting he was responsible for consolidating results, using the Hyperion Enterprise platform, monthly for presentation to executive management. Acting as the Hyperion Enterprise administrator, he was responsible for database management, architecture and maintenance of the application, guiding the company through the corporate reporting structure changes that arose as a result of the sale of the company to a new parent organization and a merger with its largest competitor (Software Spectrum, Inc.) in 2002.
Currently John has been helping smaller companies get their financial and accounting controls, applications and procedures in place. Some examples include setting up a new chart of accounts for a startup company, mentoring on control procedures and setting up a dispatch system for a services company. These companies have benefited from John's knowledge of Excel, QuickBooks and ESC (Dispatch Software) among other applications.
